The idea of having a custom design created seems daunting, but it isn’t. Let us help you create the prefect piece of jewelry for anything from 'thinking of you' to 'I do'!!
One of our skilled goldsmiths will help you on your journey to creating the perfect ring in 7 easy steps.
1) Complete our Custom Questionnaire
Tell us about your ideas! We want to prep for your consultation and filling out our Dream Ring Questionnaire will help us get ready. Once we have reviewed your questionnaire, we will send you a scheduling link for your custom consultation.
2) Schedule your consultation
We will meet with you to discuss your ideas, personal tastes, budget, and timeline. This can be done either by scheduling an in-studio appointment or virtual consultation.
3) Decide on design elements
During your consultation we will discuss all of the elements of your design; gemstone(s), metal(s), texture, size, etc. If you are picking a loose stone, it may take 1-2 weeks for us to order and receive stones for you to choose from.
4) Price out your piece
Once we know the material and labor estimates necessary to complete your ring, we will provide you with an estimate of the final cost.
5) Make the deposit
We require a 50% deposit for all custom orders. Once we receive your deposit we will order your materials.
6) Creation begins!
As soon as we receive materials from our suppliers, we will get to work on creating your custom design. This step does require some patience as it will take 6-8 weeks to craft raw materials into the ring of your dreams.
7) Settle up and get ready to sparkle!!
We will contact you as soon as your custom order is ready and once the final deposit is paid, it’s all yours! If you are in the Minneapolis area, you can pick-up at our NE Minneapolis studio, or we can ship your ring to you.
7.5) The unofficial final step: Share your new shine!
Tell all your friends and family what an amazing experience you had designing a custom ring with ECD. In short, spread the sparkle!
Custom orders start at $2,000 and typically take around 8 weeks to complete from the time the design is finalized and the deposit is received to delivery.
