EC Design is dedicated to empowering people, just like you, to express themselves.
We will discuss it all when you meet with Emily personally whether on Zoom or in our NE Minneapolis studio and showroom to discuss your life, work and jewelry needs.
Custom means unique to you! When you have custom jewelry created by EC Design you will work with the 'E' in EC, Emily (a.k.a. boss lady!). Together you will select each element of your custom piece. From the stone type, size, shape, and color to the metals and textures!
EC Design works in a variety of diamonds, sapphires, and Moissanites. All of our gems are conflict-free and adhere to the Kimberly Process. The majority of our white diamonds are certified Canadian mined diamonds. Recycled diamonds are also available. We offer sapphires from Montana and Australia, as well as other Fair-trade options.
Our favorite gems are rustic rose cut diamonds and rose cut sapphires in all the colors of the rainbow!
If we don't have a stone in stock that strikes your fancy, we'll find one!
For a small sourcing fee* we will work with one of our gem dealers to gather a selection of stones for you to choose from that better match the size, cut, and/or color you're looking for.
*Sourcing fees will be applied to the final balance for the project.
In short, maybe.
We are happy to reset heirloom diamonds and sapphires provided they are good quality, in good condition, and are 0.25ct/4mm or larger.
Stones are reset at your own risk. Although we use the utmost care, chipping and breakage can occur while stones are being removed from the old setting and reset into the new design. We will need to evaluate the stones prior to committing to a remount or redesign.
We primarily work in recycled 14k rose/red/pink gold, 18k yellow gold, and 500 palladium.
We also work in recycled 14k yellow gold, 14k green gold, 14k palladium white gold, 950 palladium, and platinum.
You can choose from round, linear, or random hammered finishes. Not in the mood for texture? Go with a classic satin finish!
Custom designs start at $2,000.
Project costs are based on design efforts, market prices of materials*, and labor. A 50% deposit is required prior to the start of any custom project.
*Due to market fluctuations, custom design price quotes are good for 30 days. Once the 30 day window closes, project costs will be reevaluated based on market prices of materials.
Typically custom orders are ready within 6-8 weeks of finalizing the design and paying the required deposit. Please allow for additional time during peak seasons.
